Wealth Transfer Pt.1
March 15th, 2009The Word that you are about to read is first prophetic because it must first be seen through the eyes of Gods Spirit and those who look must be in tune with where Gods Spirit is leading HIS Church. It is also a Word of encouragement for those who are worried or concerned for their future and that of their children.
I want to start by being perfectly clear! THIS IS NOT A RECESSION FOR THE CHURCH! What we are seeing is the beginning of the fulfillment that God intends money to play in the life of the believer. There are many Christians who have been waiting on God to bring them the return that HIS Word promises those who faithfully sow seed into HIS Kingdom. There is something very important that we must note here. God sees us as a body and therefore HE blesses us as such. We all know of Christians who have been blessed financially but what God has always planned was for HIS body to be blessed as a whole. Let’s look at what God told Abraham in The Covenant between the two of them. In Genesis 12:1-3, God tells Abraham several very powerful things. In verse two (2) He says, I will make you a greata NATION! God is speaking to an iondividual in the natural or physical realm but HE speaks also to the NATION inside of him. WHhile it is true that some in The Body of Christ have been blessed financially, the prophecy is not for some but for a NATION. In Genesis 22:17, God promises Abraham that his “seed” would possess the gates of their enemy. This Word again encompasses a plurality of people. Moving forward to Abrahams actual son Isaac, we see how he was blessed first with the actual possessions of Abraham but while in Gerar, Isaac sow a seed and received a 100 fold return in the same year. (Gen. 26:12-14) We note further that God blessed Isaac until his enemies envied him. What type of wealth could this have been? How much blessing does it take to make folks angry? It was not just that he had a status of wealth but rather, he could prosper even during a famine. As The Body of Christ, we have learned to survive during hard times. We have prayed, cut back or done what it takes to survive.
The next level of this transfer fell from Isaac to Jacob. The wealth transfer that fell to Jacob caused him to replace the person who should had gotten the blessing. There was someone more eligible but who didnt esteem it highly enough to hold on to it. He is then seen at the house of Laban and while been taken advantage of, he learns how to use the system that he was placed in to his advantage. This is where some in the Body of Christ find themselves now. You’ve learned how to invest, save and use tax credits and breaks to take advantage of the system in which we live. Jacob was the last person to hold all of the power of the wealth transfer. The next thing we note is that Jacob transfers the wealth to his sons through prophecy. This act of Jacob now elevates the power of prophecy as a way to transfer wealth. In Genesis 49:8-12, Jacob prophesies to Judah. In this prophecy, he speaks of Judah having a scepter. There are several amahe person who had the scepter also had the ability to administrate. The scepter always belonged to the King. Therefore, Jacob conferred Kingship upon Judah!
